Léo Bartoli and Elio Pivet, who respectively received their Master’s degrees in Mathematics from the University of Paris-Saclay and the University of Paris-Diderot, have won two doctoral scholarships from the Grothendieck Institute as part of the project “Topos theory and its applications” led by Prof. Olivia Caramello.
Thanks to an agreement with ETH Zurich, they were able to start their Ph.D. in Mathematics at ETH in October and November 2022, respectively, under the joint supervision of Prof. Caramello (external supervisor) and Prof. Helmut Bölcskei (internal supervisor). Thanks to a mobility grant from the Institute, they will also be able to carry out their research activities at other international locations, including the Lagrange Centre in Paris.
