The distinguished mathematician Alain Connes, member of the Scientific Council of the Grothendieck Institute and co-author of the preface to the recent volume “Les Années cachées” – which collects Alexander Grothendieck’s unpublished correspondence with Christian Escriva – has been the guest on the radio programme “La Conversation scientifique”, hosted by Étienne Klein on France Culture.

Prof. Fernando Zalamea, Professor of Mathematics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and former Coordinator of the Centre for Grothendieckian Studies (CSG), has recently made a precious gift to the Grothendieck Institute on the occasion of a recent visit to the Institute’s headquarters in Mondovì
On 16 June 2025, La Poste honoured Alexander Grothendieck by issuing a postage stamp.
Prof. Caramello, President of the Institute, had the honour of contributing to the creation of the stamp.
Alexis de Tournemire, a student at the Sorbonne in Paris, began a research internship in topos theory at the Centre for Topos Theory and its Applications (CTTA) in May 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Caramello.
