
La Prof.ssa Olivia Caramello, Coordinatrice del Centro per la Teoria dei Topoi e le sue Applicazioni (CTTA), ha tenuto una conferenza su invito al recente International Workshop on Structural AI (Shanghai, 13-16 giugno 2025) organizzato dal Prof. Andrew Yao, vincitore del Premio Turing e fondatore dell’Istituto Qi Zhi (che ha ospitato l’evento) e dal suo collega Yang Yuan dell’Università di Tsinghua.
Il convegno ha esplorato il ruolo cruciale degli approcci strutturali nello sviluppo dell’intelligenza artificiale del futuro, riunendo esperti da ambiti diversi – dalla matematica all’ingegneria del software, dalla biologia alla robotica.
I lavori del convegno hanno messo in luce il ruolo strategico dei modelli strutturati nel migliorare aspetti fondamentali dell’IA, quali la trasparenza, la verificabilità e la sicurezza.
Nella sua presentazione, Caramello ha fornito un’introduzione concettuale alla teoria dei topoi relativi, attualmente sviluppata dal CTTA, illustrandone la rilevanza per elaborare nuove forme di apprendimento artificiale capaci di operare su molteplici livelli di astrazione e di integrare diverse scale di rappresentazione e analisi.
