Great success for the homage to A. Grothendieck

Great participation for the homage to A. Grothendieck organized by the Institute on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his passing. More than 300 people gathered for the event, which was held online on 16 November 2024.

The conference featured as speakers the Coordinator of the Institute’s Centre for Grothendieckian Studies (CSG), Fernando Zalamea, one of the world’s leading experts on the mathematical and philosophical work of A. Grothendieck, and Mateo Carmona, Archivist and CSG Website Manager.

In the second part of the meeting, Olivia Caramello, President of the Institute, interviewed four scholars who knew Grothendieck personally, who evoked his memory and intellectual legacy: Christian Escriva, Dominique Lepetz, Jean Malgoire and Marc Tettiravou.
