His work, partly developed in collaboration with Elsa Lubek (École Polytechnique), has consisted in a topos-theoretic study of the relationship between plane geometry and field theory. They have shown that the usual equivalence given by cartesian coordinates carries over to an arbitrary topos and yields topos-theoretic “bridges” between the two theories.
